What We Do

Being encouraged by the life philosophy of Pandit.Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar and inspired by his fearless and selfless struggle for the progressive society and the oppressed,poor and under privilege people the Foundation is working to achieve social welfare,educational, environmental,cultural growth and to bring about a change in society. The Trustees were already involved and actively working with their physical,mental and financial contribution for various social welfare, social awareness, community support, cultural promotional activities, free coaching classes during the COVID lockdown period, etc since the years together before starting this foundation.

Environmental awareness

To be responsible and a part of Global Environ Movement to safe the world and its eco system, the Foundation undertakes awareness generation at the community level and in the educational institutions for the students, actual and active programs in the interest of conservation of nature and environment as well as control of pollution such as tree plantation, forest preservation, wild life conservation, preservation of internal inland waterbodies and wetlands, enhance life, use of non-conventional and renewable energy resources, rain water conservation and harvesting, bio-fertilization, etc. Inclusive of orientation educational training, continued training, advocacy and action schemes and to publish or cause to be published useful literatures, newspapers, magazines, books etc.

Cultural facilities

The Foundation is working to promote,establish,support for cultural and sports activities among students and the community for the development of their mental and physical health, inherent talents and growth. The Foundation provides a platform for developing talents by training, performing and the prospect of their professional growth mainly in rural and underdeveloped areas. Foundation encourages,promotes local and folk cultures of the cross sections of the socity , preserves historical monuments, literature, music, drama and fine arts.

The Foundation performs its charitable activities to augment the support to the poor and under-privileged people and the students who can’t afford to pay even minimum fees to avail quality education, Financial aid to the students for higher studies or any other activities related to the career prospects for students who are economically extremely poor but talented and to develop their professional career prospects, To provide foods and life support services during emergency situation. To conduct rescue, relief and rehabilitation programs for the victims of natural calamities and disasters like cloud burst, flood, draught, tornado, earth quake, epidemics and pandemics like malaria, dengue, cholera, plague, COVID. To take up any work functions or programs which in imperatives incidental or conducive to attainment of aims and objectives stated above

EVENTS : FOR THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE AND ONLY FOR THE PEOPLE

Keeping the view of people’s active participation on social gathering, entertainment, cultural functions, seminars,charitable activities,collective discussion among all sections of the people in the society the Trustee members since last more than half a decade has been organizing a ‘’Somprity o Milan Utsav” in a village every year with continuous 5-7 days eventful cultural programs, discussion for public awareness on health,education and other relevant subjects with active participations of local people.
The villagers, students and many other dignitaries have been actively involved by participating in the events, planning and organizing and also with financial contribution to meet up the expenses of the program and making the events successful.

The members of the organizing committee for the event are mostly women,youths, Tribal and minorities.
The social objective and impact of this program is basically to promote harmony and social unity, encouraging local talents, involvement of women,home makers so that they get a fresh air of a life with entertainment and even after attending the seminars they also become aware of a mother and children’s health & mental growth too.
The organizing committee conducts free ‘’Sasthya Sibir ‘’ health check up camp by handful experienced and well known physicians, Paediatrician, surgeons, gynaecologists in the District. Organizing eye testing and cataract operation camp as well
